Oh happy day! (yes, when Jesus washed my sins away! But also these joyous times when I get to let the blessings He has given me pass THROUGH me!)
This last weekend my husband & I attended an amazing conference in Orlando, FL by Professional Athlete’s Outreach, for about 400 NFL players & their wives. For those of you who don’t know, my husband has been in & out of the NFL over the past 4 years. I am so incredibly proud of my hubby, who is THEE most disciplined, driven, integrous, loving, handsome man I know. Rawr. Even though it sure has been a roller-coaster ride in the NFL these past two years of marriage, God has been supremely gracious to us & provided for all of our needs & more.
So during this conference, one of the speakers said something that made me think in a way I hadn’t specifically thought of before: “Don’t ask God to give blessings TO you, until you’ve told him how they will pass THROUGH you.” I know all of you have heard it, but maybe didn’t realize this phrase came from Acts 20:35- “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” So that is my prayer for this year; for my photography business to be a rich blessing to others, because of the blessings the Lord has given to me. I’ve already started compiling a list of giveaway ideas for this year, including ideas for helping families with their adoptions, military families, families with terminal pregnancies, etc. If you have any ideas, feel free to let me know! “Love isn’t love until you give it away.”
